Baan Kang Wat / Art Village, Chiang Mai Hidden Artist Spot

Searching in google, and some platfom, then looking into Reel and Tiktok, finally this place appears and I went there. If I didnt do it, I think I may never know this one.

Its kind of far from city, took almost 30 minute byb grab-bike. But, one things for sure, I didnt have any regret when I going in there. And also, I think that is a very first time I really spend money in Chiang Mai.

As per their name, this place is the place where creativity and craft plus north Thailand food join all together. So, you may spend more than hours explore this little village. Trying the food, do learn some craft and many other things.

Since I am from Indonesia, which mean I am also a part of crafted, seeing keychain, bracelet, cute dool crocket is not really interest me, but well, their product sure was great. Just not suit me yet.

But, for the thing like candle, parfum, I do really love it, and this place also be the first place that I spend more than 1k bath a day just to buy it, and I am totally happy with that. Now I am wonder how I can bring it back home. xD

Because this is a tourist area, dont expect something cheap in here. For the traditional north Thai food, this one cost 150b, not including drink yet, and you need to wait almost 30 minute to eat that, and if you do love spicy, then this food will suit you best.

As for me, this is my second time try this Khao Sol and the taste is never disappointed me. If you eat this outside tourist area, you can get 2 portions with 150b. So, everything is your decisions.

If you are looking a place to spend weekend, and cheer – cheer or take many picture, coming here is a right choices. A short escape after a long adventure in waterfall ? or a place to learn and buy something unique as well.

But as I said, this is a tourist area, so everything is expensive and somehow, some of the product in here you can find outside this village with a little cheaper price as well.
I do enjoy the place for almost 3 hours and really, you can learn a lot in here as well.
