Some people love to read a book and some of them choose to watch the film. This film diadaptasi dari novel karya Taylor Adams dengan judul yang sama pada tahun 2017 lalu. Airing di Hulu, nonton film ini berasa sedang nonton film nina bobo karena selain alurnya yang super slow, acting para karakter didalam film ini juga tergolong membosankan bangat.
Airing pada February 25, 2022 lalu dengan durasi 95 menit. Sejujurnya aku menunggu film ini karena setelah baca novelnya, aku suka bangat. But, after watching the film ?
What I feel when I read the book and what I feel when I watched the film is totally different.

Sudah bukan rahasia umum rasanya kalau membaca buku itu bakalan lebih asik daripada nonton filmnya.
But, sometimes, the film also more interesting than the book ‘kalau’ pemainnya mendukung. It is not gonna happen for this one karena more I watch, more this film have a lot of critic and not make sense after all.
Entah mereka yang terlalu banyak skip or ada beberapa hal yang ditambah dan jelas tidak ada dibuku, the film is really weird. When you lose your van key, you can go to the van and bring something out like obat and minyak tanah ?
Well, mau ketawa cuma agak gimana gitu rasanya.
The film talk about Darby yang berada direhab and memiliki hubungan yang jelek dengan ibu dan adiknya. One day, she got a call and know that her mother is dying. She choose run away from hospital and visit her mom but dipertengahan jalan, badai salju membuatnya harus berhenti ditempat peristirahatan.
Being around with 4 other stranger, Darby tanpa sengaja menemukan sebuah van yang berisi seorang gadis kecil yang diculik.
More I watch, more I know the film put something different from the book as well.
Like, the kid know who Sandi is ?
Or something like the police come and get killed by Ash ?
Or like Darby kiss Ash in toilet when Lars come into toilet ?
Hmm…
With a honest opinions, if you already read the book, lebih baik gak perlu nonton filmnya karena mengecewakan bangat. Acting yang biasa aja, scene yang terlalu banyak diskip dan pemotongan jalan cerita yang gak jelas ? Hmm. they shouldn’t make it into film if the result is like this one !
