Baandam Museum / Black House, A Controversial Artist in Chiang Rai

From all the place that I visit in my tour package, there is only 1 things that make me very interesting, it is about black house / baandam museum.

I cant call it as a temple, because personally, when I entry and see by my self, it is not a temple, but seem like a dark place yang serem bangat. Aku berasa kayak berada ditempat film horror. Intinya, I will not put any negative comment, kecuali seram.

Baandam Museum is a collections from Thawan Duchanee (1939 – 2014) artist yang controvesional di Thailand.

Using animal bone, skin and any other things, he make his own art that can be seem as a dark things and very different from any other temple.

Yes, what you see it was real crocodile !
Aku gak paham gimana dia ngulitin seperti ini, but I touch this and the oil still in there. It is real !

Any other extreme things ?
There is a snake, a buffalo, and many things that I cant desribe by word and only the artist know what is the meaning from all of the stuff that he made.

Many people that come to this museum believe that when you put your money along the snake skin, it would be return to you in a double ways.
Believe it or not, I also put my Indonesia money in the skin.

Behind the dark building, there is also a lake that seem very green.
Have a black swan, I dont know what the lake call but seeing it and can sit in there feel really good in a scary way as well.

So, to be honest ?
From all the trip in this package, the best things that I experience and feel “Wow” is from White temple (cave of art especially) and this Baandam Museum !
