Kalau nonton film ini, berasa pengen teriak keras – keras, jangankan ditahun 1900an, sampai sekarangpun, diskriminasi akan sebuah suku atau ras masih banyak terjadi kok. Jadi auto kebayang gimana rasanya berada pada tahun 1900s gitu.
This film airing pada January 29, 2025 dengan durasi 136 minute. This film appears long time ago and I really dont have any interest at watching this. Memang bener feeling gak pernah bohong, berasa zonk but dapat ilmu juga dari sini.
To be honest, alur ceritanya terasa agak aneh dan brutal or gak konsisten. Ngikutinnya auto malas karena ramai amat. Kalau mereka focus pada kasus pembunuhan and how to solve it, this one gonna be great, but the reality is different.
Ada dinasti, ada suku lain, ada China and Amerika, and also there is a murder that frame China citizen as a jack the ripper. Banyak element, bukannya bikin makin menarik, malah bikin berasa gak nyambung.
At first, the film was good when we meet Qin Fu that solve the murder in train. And we also see that China dynasty selling something to America, and there is China citizen, who got frame because of America senator daughter found dead.
What is more weird is they also put Ghost, outsider clan that come into America because his father get murder too ?
Well, there is a lot, and this film really make me lose interest.
One things that make me keep watching this is because they put 1900s issue, yaitu sentimen terhadap anti China. When China people come to America with a hope for better life, the original America citizen scare and feeling treat, make they try hard to push out China people.
I doing some search about that issue, and that is real happenning during that time. I think its gonna be best if they make this film about that issue, rather than mix it with some element and detective things sih.
Overall, this one is boring as hell, but the sentimen issue really hit me because until today, as China person, I can still feel that. Ada diskriminasi yang berada tidak biasa saja but well, it is what it is, just trying to live in it.
