2017 lalu menjadi tahun kelahiran Wonder Woman yang diperankan dengan cemerlang oleh Gal Gadot ! Since then, I always like her and rasanya aku pengen bangat nonton semua film yang dimainkan sama dia. Salah satunya adalah film ini. Sengaja menunda hampir 1 tahun setelah airing, menonton film ini ‘sekarang’ tetap mampu membuatku terharu meskipun versi pertama Wonder Woman bisa dikatakan lebih bagus daripada sequelnya.
Airing pada masa pademic, film ini bisa diakses lewat jalur streaming. Meskipun DC terbilang rugi, aku cukup salut sama mereka yang rela memberikan para fans akses untuk menikmati action Gal Gadot.
Film ini sudah bisa distreaming pada December 2020 lalu dan bertepatan dengan natal. Memiliki durasi 151 menit, this one is wonderful even not like the first film.

Film diawali dengan momment ketika Diana masih kecil dan mengikuti perlombaan untuk menjadi juara terbaik. Meskipun tidak bisa menerima kekalahan karena Diana saat itu dianggap mencurangi pertandingan, Diana tetap berusaha keras menerima kenyataan dan film berubah menjadi scene tahun 1984 ketika Diana sudah berbaur dengan manusia.
Become wonder woman and try to solve any crime that happen, Diana is a perfect woman in other people eyes. She look like have everything and that make Barbara, jealous and wanna to be her.
Ketika Diana menyelamatkan sebuah mol dari perampokan, sebuah batu misterius ditemukan. Mengunakan bahasa Latin yang menjelaskan bahwa setiap orang bisa meminta satu keinginan, Diana berharap agar kekasihnya, Steve bisa kembali.
She doing that because she didn’t believe about that, but that is happen.
As we all know, Steve is Diana love interest and dead in the first film. Since then, Diana is never love again and now Steve is back.
Doing the same, Barbara wish to become like Diana which make her got a power that she didn’t realize until the mid film.
Other people who try doing the same is Max Lord. A failure and loser man who try to become everything. He got the stone and wish to become the wishing stone it self. That is the main problem in this whole 1984 film and that is also the reason why this sequel is not better than the first film as well.
Diana is really weak. When she take what she wanted, she must let something gone as the cost of her wish. The sad momment is when Diana allow herself to take back her wish, make Steve gone forever and gain her power back. A little different from Barbara who wish to become Apex Predator ? I think until the end, she is not going back anymore.
The ending is also disappointed for me. There is no serious fight from wonder woman. Max, who realize that he make a mistake renounce his wish and that is how everything back to normal again. Nothing cost Max anymore and everything just going back to normal.
Diana find a man who make her laugh and the ending is the Christmas !
Gal Gadot giving us the best that she always do in the film. What make it enough is the film story line, not how she play it. She is really good at it and I still love her for every role, not for the film plot, but how she make me feel something when she say something.
