Long time never watching long movie until midnight, here I find some psychological horror movie with 146 minutes (really long story) that airing on February 17,2017.
WOW, not really old but this movie is really weird and brain wasted. You need more focus and solve the puzzle but you also find a puzzle that you cannot solve.
This movie start with a horror melody.
I think this movie is talking about ghost or asylum.
But, what I dont get until the end of story is about the opening of this movie.
A old man (sales of the years) who working and get heart attack after drink a glass of water ?
I just didnt get it. And ’till the end of movie, I still didnt get it.
(Rewatch the opening with bestie), we both agree that momment doesnt make any sense.
This movie have a time jumping. The plot is past and present. The movie start with young man, who get promotion, Lockhart. must going to somewhere really far to find and bring Pembroke back to NY.
He try to refuse but the board choose him.
So, he go to “Wellness Center” where Pembroke choose to stay.
Find him and bring him back sound really easy to Lock.
After arrived, He started to find many weird thing happen in that santuary.
Dr. Volmer is the one who take responsibility for that wellness center. And after speak a while with Volmer, Lock choose to be back to town but.. He got accident and he wake up as a patient at that center.
Hes leg is broke and Volmer say that he already call hes office to let them know that he not be back until he really recovery. Which in the mid of movie, He find out there is never a phone call to hes office.
When he walking around, he find Hanna, a young girl who stayed at that center since she was a kid. Because she had a different case. What is it ?
Lock start to find that they drink a water with Human essent.
Volmer sacrifice a human to make a human essent and make them sick.
Put them in water when they died and that’s how Volmer never getting old or die by age.
What I didn’t get is this movie play too fast without solve the problem.
The momment when Lock get caught and the dentist start to getting out hes tooth. How he can escape ?
They never fix it until the end of movie.
Also, Volmer is someone who continue Baron experiment.
How Volmer get all money to make people stay there ? and who is Volmer ?
Baron case is about 200 years ago. Did Hanna is the kid from Baron sister that still survive ? OMG
Just weird because in the end of movie. They never talk anything about Volmer or Hanna. all we know is Volmer is Baron and Hanna is the kid who survive.
In the end of movie. Lock leave the burning wellness center with Hanna (after Hanna killed her dad) and the team from Lock company meet them in their way. is that everybody go to wellness center to find a cure and live forever ?
Is just weird in the end.
This story only get $26.6M from their budget $40M. Which mean this movie is not really good.
For me, this movie have many puzzle and I think not really fit in the movie either.
From the opening, and about Lock childhood who watch hes father suicide with a case in hes hand ?
And about the story when Pembroke say they did something terrible to hes father ? What is that ?
Many mistery make this movie getting weird and not scare.
But we feel really ugly for some scene.
Also, when they had a bad time momment. Is just not as good as it seem.
But, you can collect this movie if you’re a psychological horror lover.
Not recommend it but worth to watch too.
