Why not for japan movie ?It is old but Oshin is the remake movie tentang perjuangan melanjutkan kehidupan guys.
Dengan durasi sekitar 110 menit, Oshin dipercaya sebagian orang mampu membuat kita mengucurkan air mata berderai.
In fact, when I watch it, I got little confused and I think yang bikin sedih itu mereka focuskan semua pada bagian awal saat Oshin kudu berpisah dengan mamanya.
And ’till the end, saya hanya melihat kisah ini lebih bertekan pada kesialan hidup Oshin.
Starring with Ayako and Yuko Tanaka, I think this movie is little boring and can’t make me cry at all. Yang ada sih bagian bikin terharu saja sama betapa kerasnya kehidupan pada zaman dulu if we compare it dengan kehidupan sekarang.
This movie start from 1907 when the 7 Year Oshin must going to work for 1 year demi sekantong beras yang bisa menyambung kehidupan mereka. Awalnya little Oshin didn’t want to go and wanna to school like other, but sadly, she must work after she saw that her mom decided to kill her self to save them from starving.
In this scene, I say she decided to kill herself but the scene didnt look like that. Oshin mother just got into cold river and I think she wanna end her life. But her husband saving her. :Looking at that conditions, Oshin decided to going work and keep her family alive. Here the adventure of Oshin begin.
In the poorness, Oshin got 50 Yen from her grandmother and keep it for her self in case she needed something. But sadly, she must lost it and dituduh sebagai pencuri oleh majikannya. Despresi karena tidak diberikan makanan dan merasa tersiksa, she decided to run away nowhere and get lost but luckly, stranger found her and save her life.
I din’t get this stranger part, how the man get sick and scream after he hunt the rabbit. How about hes village and what he doing in the middle of ice. How he build a mini home. This is a whole weird scene that they put in there.
And other weird, the man got killed by police and bekal yang dibawa Oshin saat akan diantarkan kembali hilang begitu saja. How the police let little girl go and kill a man so easy ?
So, Oshin get back to home and saw her mom give her young brother to other person. Her dad didn’t want her in home, then she decided to went away to kagaya family and beg for work.and unfortunately, everything didn’t go well.Oshin must face her mom sell herself to keep alive.
Her grandmother die and she back to kagaya family and the credit appears.
This movie actually is talk about Japaness woman in Meiji issues who they get sold on the brothel and can’t do anything to save their life.
At least, I think what really sad in this movie is about how hard to get food and I learn that all of us need to work harder to get what we wanted. Fight for our future.
I giving it 6.8/10 on my personal review.
