Airing pada October 2018 lalu, series dengan jumlah 10 episode ini mengingatkan saya pada AHS season pertama. Scene utamanya adalah rumah yang penuh misteri. Kalau AHS sih kita bisa tengok alurnya maju mundur. Nah, di series yang akan dikupas kali ini juga begitu.
Kamu musti simak baik – baik alurnya karena peran mereka dimasa kecil akan memberikan pengaruh pada masa besar mereka.
Well, hantunya sih gak horror yang gimana kali, cuma mungkin expresi mereka itu lho yang bikin serem. Anyway, time to enjoy ya !
Cerita ini diawali dari kehidupan kecil Steven, Shirley, Luke, Theo and Nell yang tinggal di hill house bersama ayah dan ibunya. Then scenenya langsung ke masa dewasa mereka. Jadi mereka punya alur itu menjelaskan pelan – pelan sih. Agak boring and also horror juga.
We all know that ibu mereka membangun rumah itu but gak semua bagian dari rumah itu diketahui dalam cetak biru. Jadi, berada diantara pilihan still staying or going. Mereka semua meninggalkan rumah itu ketika sudah dewasa dan tidak berniat menjual rumah itu. Better membiarkan rumah itu rusak begitu saja because there is many story inside the house.
Diepisode 1 itu ceritanya lebih pada Steve. Bagaimana masa kecilnya dan masa besar ketika dia memutuskan untuk menuliskan kisah horrornya. Steve sendiri tidak pernah melihat hantu, sampai the day when he went home and find Luke stole from him. Dia melihat Nell berdiri diujung rumahnya then hes phone ringing. Hes father telling him that Nell back into Hill house and dead. So, the story starting to begin.
Diepisode 2, ini lebih pada Shirley. Sudah menikah dan punya anak and still taking care of Luke. Dia sempat menentang ide Steve untuk menerbitkan buku. So, ketika dia tahu bahwa Nell meninggal dari Steve, dia memutuskan untuk merias Nell dengan cantik. Sama seperti kematian ibunya. Beside taking care of all sibling, she also blame Steve karena tidak mempercayai perkataannya. Nell is on problem.
Diepisode 3, That is the story about Theo. Membantu anak – anak dan memiliki sense paling tinggi diantara semuanya. Dia bahkan know anak asuh yang mengalami pelecehan. So, even she is gay, she love Nell much too. Well, Theo also be the one who support Steve dan juga the one who saw her mom dead.
Diepisode 4, Kita akan dibawa kepada sudut pandang Luke. Kembaran Nell. Ketika Nell merasakan sesuatu, maka Luke akan merasakan hal yang sama. This episode also the sad one when nobody trust Luke about what he saw and felt.
Storiesnya sendiri akan diputar sampai hari dimana Steve melihat Luke mencuri darinya and the day how Luke didnt use drug but felt so cold. Steve then come to pick him up and telling him that Nell is dead. Luke didnt believe that she was suicide, and the story will moving in the next episode.
Diepisode 5, Ini merupakan episode yang agak panjang karena membahas anak terakhir, Nell. Sesuai urutan pembahasan ya setiap episode. Nell kecil yang melihat seorang gadis dengan leher yang patah, and the ending is really make us think differently. We dont know anything about this series guys.
Ceritanya dibalik dan dibawa berputar but semua pada nyambung dititik yang sama.

Episode 5 agak epic ya karena Nell menjadi korban kedua diseries ini after her mom.
Nell yang depresi ketika tidak ada satupun saudaranya yang percaya padanya akhirnya membuat semua saudaranya membenci dirinya.
Ditengah kesendiriannya, Nell mulai sering bertemu dengan sosok wanita yang memiliki leher yang patah. Nell memutuskan untuk kembali ke hill house sendiri and here it is.
Nell berhalusinasi dan menari sendiri didalam hill house. Then her mom appears and give her a necklake but the reality is that is not necklake. Nell is dead by hanging her self like suicide and the screen just went down to the first time Nell saw the girl.
It was her.
The girl who had a broken neck is her.
And that is who all the stories begin in the first episode when Steve got a call from hes dad and saw Nell ghost. Nell is dead in hill house.
Diepisode 06. Ini sebenernya agak sedih ketika semua kembali berkumpul. Steve, Theo, Shirley and Luke. Hugh also be there. Steve yang marah lalu menyalahkan ayahnya, Shirley yang ikutan marah akhirnya berkelahi dengan Steve dan Theo. Saling menyalahkan and Shirley is the one who is really sad because she didnt took Steve money but her husband did.
Shirley also mad at Theo because all the time Theo live under her roof and eat her food. Luke is the one who is really innoncent and trust their dad that Nell wasnt suicide. The house kill her and their mom. Angry Steve didnt want to listen about anything hes dad say and sadly, Peti Nell terjatuh dan perkelahian terhentikan seketika. Nell ghost is flying around and nobody can see her.
In episode 07, after pemakaman Nell and seluruh keluarga masih berkelahi. I think the horror part is about the past and some horror is on present.
While Theo and Hugh back and find Shirley pot was broken. They both see Nell ghost and Theo screaming a lot, make Shirley back and find the pot was broken.
Hugh also cant fix and explain anything very well.
Theo prepare to moving out and Luke saw the things. He went and stole Shirley credit card and also Theo car. Steve is the one who didnt believe in ghost and say that all the family had a mental illness.
In the past, Hugh also find the lost old case body. Willian Hill, who disappears and now find out and in hes case, he commited suicide !
In episode 8, I never though Theo would be the one who cry over something but she did.
Shirley went really mad at her because she think that Theo kiss her husband but the real is not.
Theo try to explain anything to Shirley on their way back to hill house and Shirley is finally listen to her.
Hugh and Steve is back to hill house to catch Luke, who try to burn the house but in the end of episode, he cant burn it and he saw Nell with red dress.
Hugh also telling Steve the true happen and Luke life is really depend on Steve.
Shirley and Theo also didnt want to listen to their father and make their own way to hill house too. I think all of them will be together again in the house and finish what is unfinished bussiness.
Steve also telling the true why he going to divorce ! He wont make any children because he think that hes family had a crazy gen. It was just sad.
In episode 09, This episode didnt continue was left in episode 8 but they took us back in the firsts cene when Hugh took all the children left the house. Its kinda sad to being Olivia. Its too late to left the house and its also kinda like watching AHS in the first season when all the dead person in the house being trapped in the house and make the new owner felt the horror.
Last episode.. hmm how I put the word for the last episode of this series ?
The last one had a long run time, about 72 minute. The first things is they continue what happen to Luke and all of them (I mean 5 of them) went to the house and one by one collapse and had a continue dream from the first time. Its like a cut scene from the first time and its continue in the end. And all the scene we saw in the first place is connected to 1 door, the red door ! The door that cant be open.
Remember when Theo dancing and someone try to open the door ?
It was Nell and Shirley who try to open it. Luke treehouse, tearoom, family room and game room. All is behind the red door. Who entry will got the differences inside. And all bad dream ? Nell, who is dead become the one in the house (even she was ghost) that save them all.
Hugh, also make a promise to Olivia (also being the ghost) on the house to open the door and let the kid go. So, its kinda like AHS season 01, murder house ? Who get killed inside the house become the ghost inside the house too.
Its so sad because the ending is not scary and also like a copy from AHS season 01.
Anyway, this year they would had the second season of this series with different title. “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” that would be airing on 2020 by Netflix.
They also had some same star like Kate Siegel (Theodora) and some new face too.
Lets hope that the ending of the second series doesnt disappointed us like this one.
After all, the horror was good even it was slow. But the ending is not really good at all.
