Tahun 2020 diawali dengan berbagai horror movie baru agaknya.
One of them is Underwater. Starring by Kristen Stewart, this movie had 95 minute to company us and well, all I can say is this one is a hard movie. I think this is failure movie too because their budget is more highest than how much they earn.
Anyway, for all Kristen fans around the world, I am not about to say bad word but this is how I felt after I watching the movie.
Its kinda hard to explain and understand, and it also confused because the camera is not shoot in the best angle. But I remind my self this film is talking about under the see, 11 KM under sea ground.
So, its ok. Lets dive in !
This movie was airing on January 2020. Many people already watching it and had their own opinions on their personal blog, or vlog or anything else. I just gonna put some review on this movie.
The opening scene telling us that Tian Industries had a lot of facility to drilling under water. The last one is about 11 KM above sea, calling roebuck. The story didnt telling us what is Tian Industries pretty well and all we know is they just drilling and even the research telling us that their is something abnormal under the sea, the project is still continue.
Its kinda weird.
The scene then went into Norah, ME of the kepler that being the pesimis person after her fiance never come back (Dont read it if you dont want me to telling you the spoil guys !).
A momment later, something hit their ship station and broke almost all of the part of station. In the first scene, we all know that the project had 316 employee.
(hope I am not wrong)
But after the insiden (which we believe that was earthquake underwater),
We didnt see a lot of people and the scene just went really fast and leave us 6 survivor.
Norah, Lucien, Paul, Emily, Smith and Rodrigo.
In their way to survive, they must walk down and find roebuck. That was not easy because they didnt know what hit them. Emily is the one who realize there is something abnormal because their drill so deep, the place that they shouldnt touch. And they got the monster after Smith and Paul went out.
So, the monster look like hunting them and the story just went like that. How they try to survive without weapon and also without knowing what is the monster and why they hunt them.
We must think by ourself like :
“Oh, that is because they drill really deep !” and whatever you gonna think.
But the monster didnt give us the clue about what was they ! What their weakness and why they exist !
So, one by one from 6 survivor is just dead. In the end of the scene, the main hero doesnt survive like the other movie. Norah sacrife her self in order to keep Emily and Smith save because the saving capsule is only 2. That was also the good things to do because the monster try to catch the capsule. LOL
What is fun in this movie is how Norah play her depression momment. We also didnt know Emily told who that she love someone ? And did Norah fiance is the boy or a girl ? LOL
All is grey in this movie. The finale part also fun. The monster can felt when Norah try to blow up the whole station !
(how the hell Norah know and nobody lives there before knowing that ??)
The monster try to run away but its failed ! Norah dead so the monster too. And Tian Industries ?
They just silent, nobody ask more and they just continue other project on drilling into the underwater ! The survive employee, Smith and Emily also had a secret interview and the movie make its like nothing more we should know except the survivor is only 2 !
Dont hope too much ! Because after Norah try to blow up all the station to kill all the monster (We really didnt know what they are except they like amoeba, the one who can split up and join each other) the ending credit coming up soon.
And yeah, we didnt know where the hell the whole crew ! Nobody survive ? Hmmmm…..
Its just kinda sad to watching and spending time in this movie.
But some of Kristen fans certainly watching it.
So, just enjoy it guys !
