Diadaptasi dari novel karya Patricia Highsmith pada tahun 1957 dengan judul yang sama, film dengan genre erotic psychological thriller satu ini diperankan oleh Ben Affleck sebagai Vic.
I love every psychological film, I can think and learn and know what inside someone head and this one ?
Well, they have some erotic scene, and to be honest ? This film not really make my day.
Airing pada March 18, 2022 dengan jalur streaming Hulu, film dengan durasi 115 menit ini sedikit memesona diawal but not until the very end. Vic who really love his wife and can’t do anything to make Melinda listen to her. This film supposed to be mind game film but it seem like Vic is just a blind victim of love.

Vic Van Allen menikah dengan Melinda Van Allen and memiliki seorang anak bernama Trixie. Sejak film dimulai, we can see that Vic and Melinda love each other but in the strange way that nobody can understand.
Malinda sleep in different room from Vic, and Vic is kinda like her servant as well, not really see like her husband after all.
Melinda like to sleep with other guy, no matter if Vic see that or someone talking about it, Melinda love to play with other man and Vic is also allowed it. But deep down, Vic hate every man that go near to Melinda and kill them one by one. Vic keep his love to Melinda and didn’t divorce her as well. Jadi ibarat kayak Vic gak bisa hidup tanpa Melinda and he would do anything just to be with Melinda.
Film ini seharusnya menarik but it seem like Melinda is the one who always get what she want. And the man around her ? They just like.. Didn’t care that Melinda already married and keep sleeping with her, seeing her and make Vic really mad. He kill one by one whoever Melinda like and in the end, Melinda, who know the true about Vic pretend didn’t know anything and still, stay with Vic.
Jadi sebenarnya mau Melinda and Vic ini kelihatan bangat saling mencintai but in different way. How Melinda and Vic start to sleep in different room juga gak dijelaskan. Jadi kita langsung berada pada scene dimana Melinda and Vic really didn’t well and how Melinda keep pushing Vic is also a bad and weird part of the film.
I didn’t enjoy the film much because it was boring and all the scene is about Melinda who like this man, that man and that is it. Poor Vic who keep his love to Melinda and weird woman who keep seeing another man. As a husband and wife, what they do to each other is really weird and that is it.
