This film fulfill all my IG feed because the story line was good. Then, I finally watching this one and honestly, I kinda fall a sleep because the film is pretty slow. This film airing on February 2021 with 98 minutes time play.
Starring by Katherine Waterston as Abigail and Vanessa Kirby as Tallie, this film is kinda sad and full of Abigail self talking as well.
SPOILER ALERT !
Don’t expect to much because this film using mid -19th century ground. You didn’t see lamp and car. You only see a farm and horse and lamp.
Abigail losing her self after her child is dead. Still feel the grief, Abigail pass her day with the same rutine as housewife.
Help her husband and do nothing except write down all her feeling in book.
One day, Abigail have a new neighbour. She ask her husband and know the wife name was Tallie.
They become friend quickly and Tallie is the one who always visit Abigail, make her smile and give her a good day.
Didn’t know what happen between them, the story just pass day by day and the love grow between them.

What can you say when you have a same genre love in 1856 ?
It is not forbiden, it is also a shame.
They hide their feeling and more day, their love grow more and more until Tallie was force to be a wife “wife” and didn’t allowed to going out anymore.
Tallie and her husband leave and Tallie didn’t say goodbye at all to Abigail, make Abigail desperate and try really hard to find out what happen to Tallie.
She received a letter and decided to travel 3 day just to see Tallie dead in her bed as a ending of the film.

In the end scene when Abigail sleep beside Tallie who is dead, we can see some love scene from them together. We didn’t see the whole love scene coming until the end and that is the main reason why this film can win Queer Lion award for LGBTQ festival.
I am almost fall a sleep but the whole story was good. Being a wife and have a love to each other as wife. Abigail who didn’t want another child and Tallie who can’t giving a child to her husband. The 2 of them was good for each other even the ending tell opposite.
ENJOY THE DRAMA GUYS !
