Hutan dikenal sebagai tempat terbaik untuk merenungkan berbagai hal dan juga terkenal sebagai alam yang mengajarkan kita untuk bertahan hidup didalamnya.
Nah, bagaimana kalau kamu berada didalam hutan yang dikenal sebagai tempat berakhirnya kehidupan ?
Sempat menuai kritik karena menentang nilai – nilai kepercayaan masyarakat jepang, The Forest tetap berhasil menjadikan hutan Aokigahara sebagai lokasi utama syuting mereka guys.
Within 93 minute. The Forest bring Natalie Dormer (You must know her if you’re GoT fans) to play double side person as Sara and Jess as a twin sisters.
Jess, who start her new life in Japan make Sara worried after she received Japan police call and tell her that Jess went missing then she decided to visit Japan just to make sure Jess is ok.
Sara also know from her school that Jess going to Aokigahara forest by herself. and japan people believe when someone going to that forest alone, they decided to not be found (kill them self).
Sara refuse to accept that and went to Aokigahara herself and she meet Aiden and Michi and short spoil, they going to forest together, but when Sara find Jess tent, she choose to stay, Aiden still company her but Michi, who believe about the dark power in the forest decided to leave them and come back tomorrow.
The midnight, Sara start to being hallucinating and I think there’s a weak point on this movie.
Sara suddenly saw unreal person that allow her to believe that Aiden is the bad guys.
She start fight with Aiden because the power already taking control and she run alone, leaving Aiden behind her.
What I didn’t understand is when Aiden find her back and they went to old house and Sara start to write a letter with Jess and decided to kill Aiden ? Hmm..
Also the movie end when Sara went wild and her hallucination took her into the day when her father kill her mom and decided to kill himself, and He awake and try to kill Sara, but Sara cut hes wrist.
And when she back to the wood, she start to see Jess and try as hard to call Jess but she never turn back. Then realize that she is already dead because she cut her own wrist. In the end, Jess is the only one who alive. Michi team save her and Sara ?
She become the spirit in the forest.
Never going to forest when you feel sad and never abadoned what people telling you guys.

This movie have some heart scene in the begin, but everything is just a hallucination from Sara after they entry the forest. Also didn’t understand how Jess life in forest and why spirit doesnt wreck her and.. why she come to the forest at the first time ? end of movie, we didnt find the answer ~
