I really like something about shamanist, cult and different religions. The film or series that will talk about that will be on my list, and this one is one from them.
Also, I like Bona since Pyramid Game, so I surely watch this until end.
This series airing on April 18 – June 07, 2025 with total 16 eps. Many people say this series is pretty long and it should end within 10 or 12 eps, and I kind of agree with them.
More important, even there is a lot of complain, this series still get a high score each eps.
I totally recommend this one for you if you like Korean shamanist things. They mix it with fantasy, historical and romance, and sadly, the shamanist scene is not much. Its also funny series, so each eps will make us exicted to next one.
King Seong forbidden everything about shamanist in palace. His son is sick, and that is how Yeo Ri, knowing as glassmaker come into the palace. Yun Gap lie to him but sadly he is dead on the way to palace.
Once upon a time, there is a dragon who fall into the earth. To be ascendent back into the heaven, he must find a pure soul as his medium that worship him and help him to get back. Yeo Ri become his target since she was a child.
Waiting for so many years, Kang Chul (the name of the dragon) try his hard to get into Yeo Ri. When Yeo Ri grandmother die, the hate that Yeo Ri hate for Kang Chul become more bigger each day, make Kang Chul is really hard to get what he want, but still he stay with Yeo Ri.
When Gap die and to save Yeo Ri, Kang Chul decided to take over Gap dead body but sadly he been trap into human body. Knowing that Gap is lie to Yeo Ri and lure her into palace make Kang Chul try to stop her but he just fail like usual.
The eps that Yeo Ri didnt want to be shaman, the eps that have different ghost story is make this series feel so interesting. But, sadly since they bring up the ghost that haunt and torturing king family, the story grow into the love that Yeo Ri may have for Kang Chul or Gap.
The love, the feel to save someone, the dream to ascendent to heaven again, the past that make someone become king, the grudge and the wrong doing, all is good in this series.
I am super love the scene when Yeo Ri summon fire reaper momment.
We still dont know about Yeo Ri parent, and also how Yeo Ri can have fire reaper power is still unclear. Even this series have some question and plot hole, I still love it and its sad to say goodbye to Yeo Ri when she finally get rid of the ghost.
