Its hard to believe that sometimes, under-rated film and random pick film can be more exciting. One of them is this. I am not a fans of science film, but this one get my attentions and I watch the whole film without feeling bored.
This film airing on September 12, 2024 with 95 minute screen time. They mix Mandarin and English language together, make this film more exciting. The story is simple but the result of it ? Oh, body horror film is good to be watched.
The film talk about Wei and her father who is a scientist. The father try to discover how to grafting the skin for him and Wei, but turn out, the skin grow uncontrolly and make Wei dad die.
To continue living, Wei accept the scholarship that she got and went into NZ.
As a stranger with a scare since she born, Wei doesnt have any friend. No matter how much she try to fit in, everyone just ignore her. She live with her aunty kid, name Angela. And the first one that she kill is also Angela.
To keep a secret, we will make a lie. Wei finally find out about her father work and make a use with it. She become anyone that she like, but fail to keep her father notebook. In case to get it back, Wei keep changing her face and kill more people.
The ending is kinda ugly but we can expect the sequel because Wei is not dead at all. She just mix her body and face with people on the street when she try to escape the police.
Overall, this sci-fi body horror is kinda entertaining. The plot is weird but not bad. If you like a horror body film, this one will make your day.
