I see this film cover so many times, and when I tried to watch this, there is no a subtitle. I wait and wait and finally, I can watch this beautiful story with English sub. Its kinda slow actually, but that is not the main point of this film.
Its about a warm of Mother love. How bad we are as a kid ? No matter how busy we are, or how many time we ignore them because we are to crazy to chase our dream. In the end of the day, there is always a Mom, who wait us to back home.
This Korea film airing on July 09, 2024 with 101 minute time play. The story is slow and full of plot hole, but as I experience the same things like this film, which is my mom also have Alzheimer disease, I can relate a lot to everything in this whole film.
The story is talking about Mi Yeon life, or should I call her Audrey. She is a single mother after her husband pass away because of her daughter, Ji Eun.
She run a noodle shop with her son help, Ki Hoon, which later we know that he is not a real son from her womb.
To be a success idol, Ji Eun never have time for her family. She try really hard to avoid her mom because of their past, when her mom didnt support her to be an idol. Is kinda different with the son, who is really good at helping Audrey and also taking care of her much.
Its kinda tense to see how the real children doesnt really care much for their mother, isnt it ?
But, as the film go, we know that Ji Eun is strunggle enough on her own. She dont want to lose what she have because its already cost her father life, but also she love her mom much.
When they learn that their mom got Alzheimer disease, everything just become difficult.
Alzheimer, is something that we cant cure and slowly but surely, the person with that disease will slowly fade away. They forget everything, bit by bit until everything is gone and meet the end, back like a kid.
The ending is kinda rush and full of other plot hole, like how the brother know that Ji Eun is in hospital while he also spending night walking with his mom, but that is OK because its not the main point in this film.
I love, really love about how hard Audrey try to remember her children, Ji Eun.
She try really hard to save Ji Eun, even she is also the one who need help and care too. Mother love is really warm in here.
Busy with life, ignore parent while they’re young and strong. In the end, when they grow old and start to forget us, all we can remember is how foolish we are, that we never give them our time. Its kinda like me, but ..
Life is just it. Moving foward, promise myself to never blame myself, and learn from the past.
